The activities of the Repower Industries project, in which LE2C is a partner together with the General Directorate for Local Authorities, Mountains, Energy Resources, Water Resource Utilization of the Lombardy Region, have begun.
Funded by the Interreg Europe Programme, the project aims to promote the exchange of experience, knowledge and best practices on European Union policies for the combination of renewable energy, storage and energy efficiency to foster self-sufficient industries.
On May 21 and 22, 2024, the Kick-off meeting of the Repower Industries project was held in Prague at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, hosted by the project's Lead Partner, the Czech Technical University of Prague. During the two-day meeting, the partners presented their organizations and policy instruments, and discussed the expected results of the project.
The consortium meeting was attended by several international stakeholders, including Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico - RSE SpA, LE2C associate. On this occasion, a study visit was organized to the company ARBYD CZ, a Czech furniture manufacturer that has achieved energy self-sufficiency through the use of various renewable energy sources. The company has a photovoltaic power plant and batteries to store unused energy. In addition, production is supported by an automatic boiler with wood waste shredder and suction filter with heat recovery.
The Repower Industries project is an important step toward a more sustainable and efficient industrial future.
