LE2C President Luca Donelli, returning from the B20 Business Forum: technological clusters are one of the pillars of a winning model of open innovation

It was held in Buenos Aires, on 4-5 October, the Business 20, the business forum of the G20 organized this year by the Argentinean presidency.

Luca Donelli, co-chair of the Task Force for the Development of SMEs, underlines how the importance of technological clusters in this international forum represents an acknowledgement for the European model of open innovation, favoured by the European Commission towards the development of an ecosystem that sees technology clusters, digital innovation hubs and competence centres as integrated tools able to improve the competitiveness and innovation of territories through an increasing interaction between businesses, research centres and universities.

In the final recommendations for governments, presented by President Mauricio Macri, the role of Regional Technological Clusters was further highlighted as an exemplary way to facilitate open collaboration and transfer of knowledge between businesses and research, and the construction of good practices.
