Event: "Energy for Businesses and Sustainability for Cities"

On November 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster – LE2C participated in the event “Energy for Businesses and Sustainability for Cities”, hosted in the historic Sala Previati of the Castello Visconteo in Legnano (MI).

The initiative, organized by the Municipality of Legnano in collaboration with the University of Milan, Milan Economic Impact Evaluation Center (MEIEC), MRE PTSCLAS, ENEA – as part of the LEAPto11 project – and with the support of local trade associations (Confindustria Alto Milanese, Confartigianato Imprese Alto Milanese, and Confcommercio Legnano), took place on November 20, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Previati Room of the Visconti Castle in Legnano.

The event “Energy for Businesses and Sustainability for Cities” represented an important opportunity to discuss the role of energy transition as a lever for business competitiveness and sustainable development in local areas.

Businesses, institutions, the research community, and local economic representatives explored the main energy challenges and opportunities associated with the adoption of innovative solutions, focusing in particular on the value of public-private partnerships as drivers of change.

During the round table discussion on “Public-private partnerships for sustainability,Carmen Disanto, Cluster Manager at LE2C, presented the European REPOWER INDUSTRIES project. The project aims to support companies on their path towards greater energy autonomy by promoting the adoption of renewable energies, energy efficiency solutions, energy storage technologies, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and strengthening the resilience of production chains. Disanto also emphasized the importance of international collaboration between businesses, institutions, and research centers to accelerate the spread of cutting-edge energy technologies and the sharing of best practices at the European level.

Have you adopted innovative solutions to make your business more energy independent?

As part of the Repower Industries project, LE2C is looking for companies that have implemented successful initiatives in the field of sustainable energy. The aim is to promote companies that are making a concrete contribution to the industrial energy transition. The selected best practices will be promoted on the Interreg Europe program portal, offering European-wide visibility and recognition of your commitment to sustainability. Send us your proposal by December 19, 2025.
