The Manufacturing Innovation Alliance (M.I.A.) Lombardia is a network of 12 partners established within the framework of European and national industrial policy to support manufacturing companies in meeting the challenges of digitisation.

M.I.A. Lombardia is:

  • a European Digital Innovation Hub recognised by the European Commission as a Seal of Excellence
  • financed through PNRR funds
  • An innovation hub set up to provide digitisation services to companies that will be able to benefit from State aid of differentiated intensity according to company size.

 Some of the services for micro-small enterprises are financed up to 100%.

M.I.A. LOMBARDIA'S GOALS

M.I.A. Lombardia's mission is to guide and implement a digital and sustainable transition of the manufacturing industry in Lombardy through a rich portfolio of services provided by project partners.

The project partners offer customised paths of interconnected services. The project addresses both users and technology providers, based on a common digital maturity assessment methodology.

M.I.A. Lombardia will support the digital transformation of business processes, products and services by providing companies with technological infrastructure and expertise to support them in 5 macro-categories:

1. Technical audit and assessment: to define the company's digital maturity level and develop a transformation path;

2. Training: to delve into digital issues, create a culture around data and manage change management;

3. Access to financing: to obtain and manage public and private financing;

4. Test before invest: to evaluate and validate technological solutions before making investments;

5. Consultancy and technology scouting: to innovate company processes and products and bring efficiency gains to the factory system.

Through support of businesses, M.I.A. Lombardia aims to increase the uptake of digital technologies, support the development of digital skills, promote the adoption of innovative business models and market entry strategies, and integrate the European digital value chain.

The incentives provided vary according to the type of service and size of the company, covering from 30% to 100% of the costs incurred.
