ItalianoThe Pilot Hydrogen (H2) project represents a great opportunity to promote collaboration between European regions in the field of hydrogen technologies.
In this context, LE2C is playing a leading role as co-coordinator of the project, contributing to the definition of the strategies and activities of the Hydrogen Pilot. Thanks to this active participation, LE2C is contributing significantly to the growth of the hydrogen economy and the promotion of innovative technologies for the benefit of businesses.
Activities and Long-Term Objectives
The project aims to create a hydrogen knowledge and innovation community, with a focus on SMEs, to pave the way for achieving the EU's green hydrogen targets. The project focuses on cooperation between actors in the European hydrogen value chain to stimulate the development of hydrogen in the industrial and technological phases, support the growth of the hydrogen economy, and address three main objectives:
European competitiveness and technological leadership in hydrogen;
transition to a clean and secure energy system;
a fair transition and stimulation of regional innovation ecosystems.
In addition, the project will contribute to achieving the objectives of the “EU Hydrogen Strategy for a Climate-Neutral Europe” by involving industrial ecosystems, SMEs, regions, and communities. SMEs and industrial players will have access to cutting-edge hydrogen technologies in the participating regions, thus facilitating the international scalability of regional hydrogen solutions and service providers.
Finally, the project will complement existing national and regional initiatives in Europe, unlocking markets and business verticals for regional actors through the existing “special relationship” between the six regions involved and promoting transnational value chain capabilities. In summary, the Hydrogen Pilot represents an important step towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy system, with concrete benefits for businesses and the environment.
