Advanced manufacturing for energy applications in harsh environments (ADMA Energy) is one of the pilot actions within the Vanguard Initiative, established in 2013 by ten European regions committed to setting an example for growth and employment through industry-led interregional cooperation, co-creation, and co-investment, based on “smart specialization.”
Led by Scotland and the Basque Country, the ADMA Energy Pilot brings together seven European regions, including Lombardy (LE2C), Emilia-Romagna, Asturias, Dalarna, and Flanders.
OBJECTIVE
The ADMA Energy Pilot aims to make the EU a world leader in the production of high-efficiency components for marine renewable and offshore energy applications. ADMA Energy promotes the design of tools and services that enable SMEs, stakeholders, research and development centers, certification bodies, and other interested parties to overcome barriers that hinder collaboration opportunities, paving the way for new solutions, innovations, and products for the development of a competitive and interregional value chain.
The ADMA Energy Pilot focuses on the following market areas:
Offshore oil and gas.
Offshore wind power.
Energy from the sea, particularly wave and tidal energy.
The main objective is to create new business opportunities and greater growth for the sector, facilitating the best partnerships for European companies to address and resolve specific technological challenges in different markets and segments.
