ItalianoCluster's new governance
On April 4th 2017, on the occasion of LE2C annual Assembly, the new Board of Directors has unanimously appointed the new President of the Cluster Luca Donelli, entrepreneur and business development manager of Donelli Alexo.
Luca Donelli, has actively participated in the foundation and development of LE2C and he has been holding the position of Board Member since 2012. He has just successfully completed a year of presidency for "Yes for Europe", the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs, and since 2016 he has been Vice President of Confindustria Alto Milanese (Industrial Association). In 2017, he also assumed the role of Representative of the G20 YEA in the task force Financing Growth & Infrastructure of B20.
Luca, while thanking the Board and the past president Gian Angelo Mainini, gladly accepted his role together with the Vice President Stefano Besseghini, CEO of RSE, one of the largest Italian Research Institute. The aim is to continue the cooperation between companies and research, both within the Cluster and with other stakeholders, thus fostering and strengthening the internationalization and new industrial value chains linked to energy and cleantech and, not least, to make more effective the cooperation with Regione Lombardia, the European Commission and EU networks on backing up the RIS3 policies.
The newly elected President sets out priorities for the first six months of operation, paying particular attention to:
- Strengthen the bond with the associated members, highlighting the opportunities that the Cluster can offer;
- Reshape the Cluster Thematic Working Groups, composed of industry and research member, fine tuning new guidelines and activities.
At the same time Luca considers a priority for 2017, the redefinition, together with the Board Members and the Cluster Organization, of the Cluster Strategic Plan, an essential tool for multi-year planning of the activities.
