Kenya and Rwanda | Second ESECA Project Business Mission

As part of the ESECA project, we are organising a new business mission to Kenya and Rwanda with the aim of fostering collaboration between European and African companies operating in the renewable energy and smart grids sectors.

Participate in the new business mission organised within the ESECA project, in which LE2C is a partner, structured in two (optional) stages:

  • 2 to 6 October 2023: Kenya.
  • 10 to 13 October 2023: Rwanda.

In Kenya, you will have the opportunity to meet key stakeholders, participate in B2B meetings and may be selected as a speaker at the REFA 2023 conference.

You will also have the opportunity to attend the POWERLEC fair and use the exhibition space, provided by ESECA, where participants can be present and organise business meetings.

In Rwanda, you will be able to participate in an event dedicated to R&D projects, in collaboration with AfriLabs, and in the LEAP-RE Stakeholder Forum, which aims to create and develop an international multi-stakeholder community dealing with renewable energy (innovation, training, financing and deployment policies).

WHAT ARE POWERELEC AND REFA 2023 IN NAIROBI, KENYA?

POWERLEC is the largest international exhibition curated exclusively for the energy, renewables and electricity segment. It will provide access to international organisations, suppliers, investors, technology experts and EPC companies. Renewable Energy Forum Africa (REFA) is an annual conference promoting renewable energy investments on the African continent. The event is supported by a European programme (GET.invest) that aims to mobilise investment in decentralised renewable energy. It will be the meeting place for all renewable energy stakeholders on the African continent, bringing together institutional and private investors, project developers, policy makers, energy utilities, regulators, companies and the most influential decision makers in the energy sector under one roof.

WHAT IS THE LEAP-RE STAKEHOLDER FORUM IN KINGALI, RWANDA?

The LEAP-RE Stakeholder Forum is an event organised to enrich the LEAP-RE community. It aims to create and expand an international multi-stakeholder community on renewable energy, science-based policy, finance and research, innovation, monitoring, evaluation and learning, in Africa and Europe. Its objectives are to identify, design and implement the services and functions of LEAP-RE and to promote collaboration with similar initiatives.
