INTERREG EUROPE WEBINAR: SUSTAINABLE ENERGY AND BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS

The event will explore the role of sustainable energy in strengthening business competitiveness, featuring examples and good practices from several European projects, including Repower Industries, and a presentation by Carmen Disanto on Italian incentives for energy efficiency in industry.

A new webinar organised within the Interreg Europe programme will focus on how sustainable energy can support the competitiveness of businesses while advancing the energy transition. The event, titled Sustainable energy in business, will take place on 1 April 2026 from 14:00 to 15:30 and will bring together experts, policy-makers and European stakeholders.

The initiative will address the challenges many companies—particularly SMEs—face in adopting sustainable energy solutions, such as limited access to targeted information, constrained financial and human resources, uncertainty about investment returns, and difficulties navigating regulatory and support frameworks. The webinar will present concrete examples of policies and tools developed in several European projects to support industrial decarbonisation, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy in business operations.

Among the experiences presented, a focus will be dedicated to the Repower Industries project, which promotes regional policies aimed at accelerating industrial decarbonisation and strengthening the energy independence of European businesses.

During the session on good practices, Carmen Disanto, Cluster Manager at LE2C, will present the Italian case and the public incentives supporting energy efficiency and emission reduction in the industrial sector, offering an overview of the tools available to support companies’ investments.

The webinar is open to anyone interested. Registration* is available online at the following link: Sustainable energy in business.
*To register, participants are required to create a profile on the Interreg Europe platform. This is a simple and free procedure and is open to all.

The event represents an opportunity to learn about practical experiences and tools supporting businesses in the energy transition, while fostering exchange between regions, institutions and innovation stakeholders across Europe.
