For SF Energy, this is a confirmation of the value of its research: the company is currently developing its first industrial prototype through the ECOOL project, funded by the Lombardy Region, in collaboration with Epta, Politecnico di Milano, University of Bergamo, Gfm, Progesa, Next Turbo Technologies, and Made Competence Center. At the same time, master’s and PhD theses on cryogenic technologies are underway with the Cryogenic Engineering Centre of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, with the von Karman Institute as co-supervisor. New projects on high-temperature heat pumps to recover waste heat from data centers will also soon be launched.

A milestone that brings the energy innovation developed in Lombardy into the spotlight of the global deep tech scene.
The startup will participate in the Hello Tomorrow Summit 2026 in Amsterdam, where it will meet international investors and partners.
