A municipal service for energy transition
The Energy and Climate Helpdesk was set up by the Municipality of Bergamo as part of the Climate City Contract (CCC) and the European Mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030”, which commits the city to achieving climate neutrality by 2030.
Within this framework, the Help Desk plays a fundamental operational role: translating European strategies, plans, and objectives into concrete services that are useful in the daily lives of citizens and businesses. It also provides up-to-date information and support on topics such as energy efficiency, renewable sources, technological systems, regulations, incentives, and new forms of energy production and sharing.
Who is it for
The service is free of charge and is designed for:
- Citizens and families
- Condominium administrators
- Businesses and manufacturing companies
- Technicians and professionals
- Local associations and organizations
The Help Desk is structured according to the One Stop Shop model, i.e., a single point of access where you can find guidance, information, and initial operational addresses on energy and climate transition, without having to deal with a multitude of sources and interlocutors.
What you can do with the Energy and Climate Help Desk
With the Energy and Climate Help Desk, you can receive practical support to understand how to make your home, apartment building, or business more efficient, sustainable, and resilient. The Help Desk experts will help you assess which energy renovation measures are best suited to your building, guide you through the different technologies available, and help you understand their advantages and limitations.
You can also find out about tax incentives and local and national subsidies, learn more about opportunities related to self-production of energy, discover how energy communities and self-consumption groups work, and receive clarification on consumption, bills, systems, and regulatory requirements.
The Help Desk does not provide commercial advice: its goal is to offer you reliable and up-to-date information so you can make informed decisions, reduce consumption, optimize energy costs, and contribute to climate transition.
How the service works
Anyone wishing to explore one or more topics in greater depth can contact the Help Desk using the form available in the “Book an appointment” section. After submitting the request, the Help Desk staff will provide an initial response by email. When necessary, an online appointment will be arranged for a more in-depth discussion tailored to the specific needs of the individual or organization.

Areas of intervention
The Help Desk provides guidance on tax incentives and municipal tenders, analysis of electricity and gas bills, and building renovation and energy efficiency measures. It also supports the evaluation of photovoltaic systems, storage systems, and solar thermal systems, promotes renewable energy communities and self-consumption groups, and offers clarification on climate comfort, heating and cooling regulations, and energy efficiency in businesses. Each area is designed to guide users from understanding the topic to choosing the most suitable options for their specific case.
A specialized team serving the city
The Energy and Climate Help Desk is managed by a multidisciplinary team that combines technical, energy, and communication expertise:
- R2M Solution, responsible for technical coordination and development of the One Stop Shop model
- TerrAria, which handles energy analysis and support for data and digital tools
- Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster (LE2C), engaged in communication, territorial networking, and stakeholder involvement
A European project for the future of Bergamo
The Energy and Climate Help Desk is one of the tools with which the Municipality of Bergamo is guiding the territory towards a more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive development model. The initiative is funded by the European Union as part of the NetZeroCities program, which supports European cities on their path to climate neutrality. Through this service, Bergamo is strengthening its ability to take concrete action to reduce emissions, while promoting awareness, participation, and widespread benefits for the community.
