Tanzania | Third and final commercial mission of the ESECA project

Join the ESECA delegation in the third and final trade mission in Tanzania to meet African and European companies operating in the renewable energy and smart grids sectors.

Participate in the new trade mission organized as part of the ESECA project, of which LE2C is a partner, from the 3rd to the 7th June 2024, to learn about the Tanzanian energy market and develop synergies with African and European players in the fields of smart grid and renewable energy.

ESECA organizes this mission in collaboration with TAREA, the Tanzania Renewable Energy Association, one of the most active sectoral associations in Africa. The mission will in fact be organized as part of the Renewable Energy Days of TAREA, which will be held on the 4th and 5th June in Dar Es Salaam.

PRELIMINARY AGENDA OF THE MISSION:

ESECA will provide cost-effective support through a €800 voucher for travel expenses for LE2C Cluster members recognized as SMEs.

WHY SHOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN TANZANIA?

Tanzania is the country in sub-Saharan Africa with the most opportunities for the development of mini and off-grid systems, especially in the northern regions. Although off-grid has great potential in Tanzania, the smart grid market is currently very limited, as electrification rates are low and the technology is still incipient, which represents a great opportunity for its spread. In Tanzania there is also a growing activity of battery storage systems (BESS), linked to the installation of photovoltaic systems in rural areas. In this sense, imports of electrical equipment have increased significantly in recent years, but are still insufficient.
